US Bureau of Reclamation releases final EA for Washington County Water Conservancy District

Published 07 July 2017

The US Bureau of Reclamation has released a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) decision for final Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Washington County Water Conservancy District (WCWCD) WaterSMART Small-Scale Water Efficiency Projects.

Reclamation’s action is the approval of grant funds to WCWCD for incentives for water efficiency in Washington County, Utah.

The EA details the proposal to approve grant funds for customer rebates to upgrade irrigation systems with water saving devices and for the installation of water savings devices in commercial, industrial, and institutional settings.

Reclamation is the largest wholesale water supplier in the United States, and the nation's second largest producer of hydroelectric power. Its facilities also provide substantial flood control, recreation, and fish and wildlife benefits. Visit our website at https://www.usbr.gov.
